Do you offer telehealth?
How do I make an appointment?
We’d like to start with a free consultation so we can get to know each other, discuss why you’re coming to therapy, and see if we’re a good fit for each other.
To schedule your free consultation, give us a call at (513) 512-4215.
What is your cancellation policy?
Regular attendance is important for success in therapy.
If you can’t make a session, please give us at least 24 hours’ notice to avoid being charged for it. That gives us an opportunity to offer the time to another client.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Do you accept insurance?
We do not bill insurance directly, so we are considered an out-of-network provider.
However, we can provide you with a “Superbill” (a statement of your services) to submit to your insurance provider for possible reimbursement if you have out-of-network benefits.
Why would I see you over another therapist who takes insurance?
If your insurance requires you to see an in-network provider and that’s the best solution for you, we understand and support that decision.
However, there are reasons that you might choose to pay for psychotherapy without going through insurance.
Many people we see are teens. Insurance companies require a mental health diagnosis for insurance coverage. At this early stage in life, having a diagnosis on your medical record can be unnecessary and stigmatizing.
In addition, confidentiality facilitates trust and vulnerability, two components of successful therapy. When insurance companies are involved, there is a high risk of your confidential mental health record being breached. This can happen during company healthcare checks or federal background checks, for example.
What should I expect when I come into therapy?
When you start therapy, just come as you are.
During the first couple of sessions, we establish trust and rapport. It is important to feel comfortable with the person you share private information with.
As you feel more comfortable and therapy progresses, you’ll be able to open up and discuss the challenges you are facing. Sometimes, we take notes, and we always actively listen. Expect questions about how you act, think, and feel about situations.
Your thoughts will be challenged, and you may be asked to practice a behavior or fill out a worksheet outside of your therapy sessions.
All of this will depend on your unique needs. Together, we work on goals that are best suited for you so you get the most out of therapy.
How long will I be in therapy?
Your therapy goals and commitment to therapy determine the length of time you spend in therapy. We work with clients weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly, depending on their needs.
Some clients seek therapy because they have a very specific issue they need to work through and can do so relatively quickly. Others aren’t exactly sure what is holding them back and need to explore what is happening. Exploring underlying issues requires more time in therapy.
